

If you own chickens and collect their eggs daily, do you find yourself washing the shells? Or do you just leave them straight from the coop unwashed? Well I’m sure a lot of you want to know the correct answer…and in most cases you DON’T need to wash them!
By washing them, you take away the protective layer which helps the egg keep free of bacteria! But if washed and the coating layer called the “bloom” or sometimes the “cuticle” removed, you must then refrigerate them!
