Did you know that the humble potato is hiding a secret talent? You may find the idea absurd but it’s true that a potato is capable of producing power and that the vegetable could provide lighting to remote towns and villages around the world!
Haim Rabinowitch, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, says that “a single potato can power enough LED lamps for a room for 40 days,” so potato power really could be a future possibility.
