For those of you that may not know, a cold frame is ideal to grow seeds and young plants because it’s exactly like a mini greenhouse. It is a great way to protect your plants from the cold and is perfect for small garden where you may be tight for space.
A cold frame in inexpensive to make considering it’s made up mostly of straw. Once it’s installed you can extend your growing season, starting earlier in the Spring and continuing later into the Fall.
